    Pick Your Flavor

    Pick Your Flavor

We originally launched the Tesseract in July of 2013 and followed up soon after with the Cantellated and Truncated Tesseracts. The original Tesseract was heavily inspired by the contours and versatility of the Chubby Unicorn but with a smaller wheelbase and a more subtle concave design.

Over the past few years (partially due to the impact of the Overland), many of our ambassadors have requested a softer and lighter Tesseract to expand the freestyle capabilities of the board.

    The Blood Slayer Lives!

The rebirth of the Chubby Unicorn into the Blood Slayer sparked the flames of creativity in the Loaded crew like never before. Rather than going with a traditional skate video, we took this release as an opportunity to delve into a new realm of media; heavy metal music videos.

Loaded Labs Interview with Longboard Envy

We recently had the chance to chat with the folks at Longboard Envy about the Loaded Labs Menopause project. Check out their introduction below, and be sure to read the full interview here!

"Product research and development has usually been a highly secretive thing—companies would produce prototypes within their factories, and only reveal the products to inside members. This is a totally founded strategy—many products, in the early days of the development, are flawed and can tarnish the reputation of a company if revealed to the mass public. Sometimes, prototypes are released to the public in the last few months of development, but this is mostly as a marketing strategy and hype-building exercise. That means that realistically speaking, the consumers don’t have a direct influence on an end product.

Many of us dream to partake in this secret research and development that happens behind the scenes at many skateboard companies- I know that when I was a wee little grom, I slobbered at the thought of being let in on company secrets. If only companies would tell us what happens in their secret Area 51 warehouses…

    Oh wait, Loaded does."

    Limited Edition CARBON Tesseract

    Loaded Boards Carbon Tesseract

Loaded's ambassadors love the Truncated Tesseract, but a few wanted to see if a slightly stiffer board would get them going faster. After months of testing at the Hadron Collider beneath the Franco-Swiss boarder, we concluded that applying a future-forward, hi-tech layer of carbon fiber made the Tesseract look totally badass... and perfectly rigid and agile for skateboarding fast.

We have produced a very limited run of 300 individually numbered modified boards and are offering them one-time-only on our site. Loaded is donating a percentage of proceeds from each board to the awesome non-profit STOKED whose mission is to inspire low-income teens and help them succeed through action sports. These funds will be used exclusively to get kids on skateboards in the Los Angeles area, and our team will be on hand to help along the way. Loaded has been involved with STOKED for over a decade and has witnessed thousands of smiles and seen how much learning a new skill can change a life.

The boards will be available October 1st at 9AM PST and will go fast.

Go to www.loadedboards.com to add some carbon fiber to your diet and check out www.STOKED.org to sign up, volunteer, and make a difference.

    Orangatang Centerset Freeride Wheels

Orangatang Wheels is bounding with joy to announce the release of our brand new line of centerset freeride wheels! With an all-star cast of sizes and duros, these peachy gobs of urethane will provide a once-in-a-lifetime performance every time.

    “The Cage”
    73 mm diameter  |  50 mm width  |  41.4 mm contact  |  187 g/wheel  |  centerset bearing seat

Tall and charming, The Cage holds it together with an air of calm and collected charisma… but is always prepared to lose its shit and get wild. The Cage is here to deliver when the script calls for inordinate momentum, firm yet pliable grip, and high-speed slides. Step away from the bike… and get your downhill fix on four wheels.

    “The Kilmer”
    69 mm diameter | 48 mm width | 39.5 mm contact | 159 g/wheel | centerset bearing seat

An ace at both supersonic speeds and tight, hairpin-riddled dogfights, The Kilmer keeps it cool like ice in any freeride-focused mission. The Kilmer is the star student with a size and personality that everyone can love. Just say, "You can be my wingman anytime." Come on, baby, bite my wire.

    “The Keanu”
    66 mm diameter | 46.5 mm width | 38 mm contact | 139 g/wheel | centerset bearing seat

With a diminutive presence and quick, bullet-time reflexes, The Keanu is a skilled and adaptable master of all terrains. Adept at slashing the asphalt point break as well as keeping up the speed for technical freeriding. Choose the red core. Whoa.

The centerset freeride wheels feature gently bevelled sidewalls, rounded edges, and stone-ground contact surfaces. A newly designed 38x38mm core with a deep “valley”-shaped cross section keeps the lips firmly supported like a burly botox injection, promoting smooth, consistent slides and even wear. This core uses the same high-strength, high-stiffness, and heat-resistant material that we developed and implemented in the “blue” cores now seen across the entire Orangatang lineup... only now they're red hot.

The Cage, The Kilmer, and The Keanu are all poured in our new Peachy Thane formula. Slightly grippier than Euphorethane yet slipperier than Happy Thane, Peachy Thane offers a balanced blend of buttery speed control, long slides, and a cush ride. Peachy Thane is formulated for high longevity and to meet the demands of the discriminating high-speed powerslide connoisseur.

    Orangatang Kegel

    Orangatang Kegel

    80mm diameter | 56mm width | 56mm contact | 8.1 oz/wheel | offset bearing seat

The Kegel is your ticket to high-speed steamroller action and the obliteration of a variety of small mammals. The large 80mm diameter generates high roll speeds while a moderate width of 56 mm allows for a versatile balance of traction and slide response. A cantilevered outer lip with a straight profile is pliable enough to hug the road for grip while also ensuring consistent performance as the wheel wears. The shorter inner lip features a subtle inward bevel for race-worthy traction and predictable drifts.

A fully-exposed 46mm core with a deep “valley”-shaped cross section reduces weight while providing good acceleration, lots of momentum, and crisp slides. This core uses the same high-strength, high-stiffness, and heat-resistant material we developed and use in the entire Orangatang product line.

The Kegel is poured in our Happy urethane formula. Tested and proven over the years in our 75mm In Heat and 70mm 4President race wheels, Happy thane has the ideal blend of grip, buttery slide consistency, and vibration damping for controllable and intuitive downhill performance.

Now available in select shops worldwide (find a dealer near you).
